Lamai Wanta Resort

10 years ago, two medical professionals decided to establish a small beach resort in Lamai Beach aiming to create an accommodation with better standards at affordable prices. Wanta Resort started off with 10 individual bungalow-type units in a coconut plantation and has now transformed into a 74-room resort with beachfront swimming pool and café.
The word "wanta" means a physical gesture to greet and pay respect to the others which is more or less a symbol of being Thai. The resort is located right on the beach at the very centre of Lamai. It is in close proximity to all the shops, banks and restaurants but still maintains its peace and exclusivity from all the chaos of the busy strip.
The accommodations are nicely placed in a vast tropical garden with big trees and generous spaces between them. The 60-metre frontage faces the beautiful sea with a wide beach and white sand. The sea is swimmable pretty much all year round. |
