Gu Rich Samui Resort & Spa - Food & Beverage

Gu Rich Samui Resort & Spa restaurant "Talay Tai" has an extensive menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner, serving Thai as well as western dishes.

The Thai food is prepared using the finest ingredients and made Thai style with no compromises made for Western palates. If you want watered down Thai food then this is not the place for you. Saying that we can tone down the spiciness of some dishes for those who cannot eat spicy hot food.

Talay Tai has an extensive menu with many local delicacies and hard to find dishes. We also have a nightly seafood barbecue with freshly caught fish and shellfish.

A large variety of vegetarian dishes are available and anyone with special dietary needs may contact our restaurant manager.

We try to use organic or hydroponics' vegetables wherever possible and do not use M.S.G or any other additives when preparing our food. This is the real deal!

Western Food

Although a major reason for traveling to Thailand is the food, sometimes you need a bit of comfort food.

Our Western menu has a combination of light fusion Mediterranean influenced foods, salads, pasta's old favorites like pie & mash and the best burgers on the island.

Organic or hydroponics vegetables are used whenever possible and the food is always fresh.

We have delicious homemade desserts like tiramisu, chocolate mousse and Italian gelati.

If you are really pining for something special and don't see it on the menu we will do our best to help you out.

Thai Food

Talay Tai restaurant has an extensive Thai menu, preparing the finest cuisine without any compromises.
We use only the finest freshest ingredients and organic produce wherever possible.

Our nightly beachside seafood barbecue has the catch of the day bought earlier in the day from the market and guests may dine on the beach using mats and cushions whilst looking out to the bay.

We give you the chance to try dishes made famous in the South of Thailand like the range of curries and salad using the flowers of the coconuts.

Curious guests may try their hand at cooking Thai food by doing a Thai cookery lesson with our chef who will instruct you show you how to prepare the dishes of your choice.

Cocktails

Talay Tai beachside bar has an extensive range of cocktails, spirits and World wines. An eclectic wine list is complemented by a cocktail list devised by cocktail maestro Dick Bradsell (Pharmacy, Freds, Dicks Bar at the Atlantic, 1997 in Hong Kong and lots more).

We also have a bar near the spa area which opens at 8:00pm and is set amidst dramatic rocks and surrounded by lush tropical fauna.

Our bar was voted one of the "Top 50 Bars In the World" by The Independent and has the most extensive cocktail list on Koh Samui.

Come in and try a Long Island Iced Tea or something more exotic!

Juice Bar

The juice bar is located in the spa area and has a broad range of fruit, berry and vegetable juices, smoothies and shakes.

Only the finest ingredients are used (organic or hydroponics where possible).

Healthy snacks and fresh fruit are also available.

Thailand is famous for its variety of exotic fruits and vegetables and we have concocted a mouth watering juice and smoothie drink list using local fruits and in some cases imported ones.

All of the juices & smoothies are made with fresh fruits and some of the more indulgent ones combine with ice cream, soda milk and other tasty additions.

The same goes for our vegetable juices and again we use organic and hydroponics' vegetables whenever possible.

There is a special juice bar attached to the spa but they can also be ordered from the main restaurant bar. Try a drink from our list or create your own.
